PROJECT C.U.R.E

fletcher and julie are touring for PROJECT C.U.R.E!

our story: we began traveling the world on July 31st, 2009. shortly after we started our journey, our travels were temporarily haulted because of an unexpected incident in guatemala. long story, short…fletcher fell from a high swing onto his head on some rocks below. after the fall, we proceeded to visit 4 different medical facilities in guatemala in search of help. while we were blessed to receive help from some angels along the way, we were also very shocked to learn how under-staffed and under-supplied medical facilities are in this part of the world. given the severety of fletcher’s injury, we soon realized that we needed to head back to the US for adequate care. we returned to colorado for about 2.5 months for excellent medical care, and fletcher made a full recovery. after our frightening, but enlightening, experience with third world medicine, and we have a renewed sense of purpose to make a difference as we resume our tour around the world.

our goal: we have decided to partner with PROJECT C.U.R.E. – an international non-profit oraganization, which is based in Centennial, CO – to raise money and create awareness. we have set our first fundraising goal at $500, which will “sponsor a pallet.” if we reach our goal, then we would be able to sponsor the delivery of one pallet of medical supplies worth $10,000 wholesale to one of over 120 countries in need. please help us reach our goal of $500 by september 2, 2010!

about PROJECT C.U.R.E: PROJECT C.U.R.E.’s mission is to identify, solicit, collect, sort and deliver medical supplies and services according to the imperitive needs of the world. health care providers in the developing world lack life-saving medical supplies and equipment. because of this, millions of people die unnecessarily in developing countries. your donation will help strengthen health care systems around the world.

support our mission: in order to track the progress of our goal, we have set up a fundraising page with change.org. please visit our FUNDRAISING PAGE to keep track of our progress and make a safe and secure online donation. 100% of your charitible donation is tax deductible, and you will receive a receipt from “Network for Good,” change.org’s processing partner. every little bit counts! alternatively, there are many other ways to contribute to this organization. please visit their website to learn more: PROJECT C.U.R.E
